Due to the Royal Mail not fully compensating for a lost parcel (lost! thats a laugh! Where is it, behind the filing cabinet?!) parcels of between 1kg and 2kg are now being sent via 1st class signed for delivery,over 2kg goes via DHL courier. The Royal Mail service aims to deliver in 1 to 3 days, but they will not entertain a claim for loss until 14 working days without delivery has passed. A replacement will be despatched at this point. Bear this in mind when ordering. DHL service is next day to most mainland UK postcodes.

Mealworms are the larvae of a flour beetle, they are raised chiefly on bran and vegetable, making them very nutritious (upto 48% protein) and very clean.
Many people see them as a maggot but in reality they could not be further apart. Live mealworms are clean, have no odour and do not feed on rotting flesh. they are disease free.
If you care to study them you will find them fascinating little creatures, they have 6 legs at the front which drag the rest of the body along, when they need to grow they have to moult their skin as they have an exterior skeleton so shedding is the only way to enlarge. They have the ability to absorb moisture from the atmosphere so they do not directly drink water.
Anyway, a great way to encourage birds to feed in your garden, and convenient and easy to store.
